waitin'
just like i've always been
peekin' 'round corners
and sneakin' in the dark
overturnin'
the cumbersome adornments
that clutter my life
y'know.......
they crept up on me
in much the same way
stole away with my spark
and the certainty of my youth
leavin'
incomplete questions
what,when
why, and who?
now...
a blank look,
and a shrug of my shoulders
are all i've got left
to answer with
