Guardian of Gebo
ebony bird paces the wall, beak open, tongue hanging out
no one hears his call..two steps, three, turn, face about.
bearing silent witness to the travesty of this place
so many lives stolen, that barely left a trace
raven! oh, raven.. what would you have me do?
comply with your silence, or tell the tale of you?
you stalwart protector of souls lost too soon
along the wall you pace, beneath a bloody moon
protecting the dearest secret, the most valuable prize
the one and very thing that can't be seen by human eyes
the love, hopes, and dreams gone asunder
the souls, and the grace of children filled with wonder
stand fast! keep your watch, my ebony friend
beautiful raven, may never you meet your end
others may scoff, at the secret we share
but the souls of gebo, still need you there
